Verified ReviewerThis Is For The Company Fiverr, Not The People That Buy/Sell There; They're Trash

So I decide to join fiverr (not even going to capitalize their name, give no respect get no respect) to supplement income while my new website is being built. Being new, I'm the target off constant scams and bots and whatnot, I'm used to that by now.
This is a pay-to-play website, if you're new you have to buy "Plus" or whatever it's called to get seen by anyone and stop the bot spam, and I was literally hours away from doing just that. Anyway, I get my first "real" person message me about doing a logo for them. Cool! They seem real and not like I bot so I entertain it.
Then it got weird; she said, "Before I order I need to verify who you say you are" like I'm god-damn Banksy. She asks me for my phone number so she can send me a code to verify. I report that message, nothing happens; usually you report those and they get banned instantly so now I'm thinking oh, maybe this is cool with fiverr because every other time I've done it I get the "fiverr has your back" message and they get blocked, but not with this one. I give her a random phone number from a website you use to get one-time codes, she sends it and it's from Roomies.
Red flag. Reported that as well. I entertain it, give her the code (because she's not scamming me personally, idgaf) the she goes ghost. Classic.
So I submit a ticket explaining what happened, essentially saying I think I got scammed. They never respond to that ticket, but instead flag MY account. Now it looks like I'm talking to myself in these screenshots because fiverr blocked me from communication with them; when I logged on this morning it had said SHE ACCEPTED THE MESSAGE like what does that even mean? They didn't answer when I asked.
So then I'm like, WTF. They never responded to my first ticket asking if I got scammed (which I know I didn't; I'm on a virtual machine, fake number, etc), so I open another ticket and ask how tf I get flagged for that? They get back to me real quick with some copy and paste message saying I broke the terms of the website when THIS CHICK ASKED ME FOR MY NUMBER WHICH IS AGAINST THEIR GUIDELINES. And they won't remove the restriction or whatever they call it, so I'm going to blast them everywhere.
Customer service is trash. Pay-to-play business model. They have since stopped automatically blocking bots from messaging me, so now I'm just getting spammed left and right. Company is a joke, but I'll leave my page up to promote my graphic design Instagram that's in one of my videos, lol.
But seriously, their customer service is garbage, just copy/paste replies. See the pics for yourself! They show bots messaging me now, which go straight to my actual email (last picture is legit from my email inbox, which never happened with bots before I called them out), they never used to before I told them I was gonna blast them for this.
Which I am; this is just my first stop. Must just be a coincidence right fiverr?
- Allow people to sell hacking services lmao
- Customer service is ran by crayon eaters
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: If you're not willing to pay to be seen or use half the features, just get ready for Bot City because that's where you're headed! Seriously, stay away.

Verified ReviewerResolved: I have reported suspected fraud by a freelancer and Fiverr is not responding I’m referring my inquiry
I received a refund for the portion paid to the freelancer through Fiverr but not the amount scammed into paying via PayPal. I have opened a dispute with them.
Fiverr claims they did shut down the freelancers account but I unfortunately the damage is done.
I feel like my IP I was seeking to trademark has been compromised. I am pursuing investigation through other channels.
Once she provided that and it showed active, I contracted her to file a trademark application. Where things got weird is she stated that while her fee is paid via Fiverr, the $350 fee for the USPTO filing would have to be paid to her so she could process the application. She sent payment info to my email, which she knew because it was provided as part of the application. When the name didn't match hers, she stated it was her colleague.
Suspicious, I posted the PayPal payment details in the Fiverr chat. She claimed she had to confirm the PayPal payment details before she would pay the application fee on her credit card and that only she could do that because she had the account with USPTO. After paying, I immediately received a confirmation of filing. I actually was relieved.
The next day, scammers were immediately calling my phone and email. She even reached out again to my direct email, which she knew because she filed the application, to assure me all was okay and ask if I wanted to file another patent. I told her if I needed further assistance, I would contact her through Fiverr. A few weeks later, after numerous scam attempts, I got a message from the real USPTO office that my application was rejected for non-payment.
(They only contacted me because I had set up an online account and filed my provisional patent a week prior.) I contacted USPTO and was told the payment submitted was disputed, so the application was VOID. So she has my $350, and while it appears she has filed, the application for the trademark is rejected for non-payment. I opened a ticket with Fiverr and a dispute with PayPal. I got a message that someone would contact me shortly and multiple requests for status with no response to my ticket, which is still open.
The 800 number reported for customer service is incorrect and is not Fiverr, so I am in limbo. PayPal will not refund the $350 sent to the freelancer who claimed it was for the government fee, and I have received no response even on the $105 I paid to her for the filing through Fiverr. I contacted the MO Bar Association and I have been advised to contact the Complaints Chief for an investigation. I also contacted USPTO and will be filing a complaint per the FTC.
After reading the reviews, there are people who have written that Fiverr is riddled with scammers and they don't do much to help. I hope that is not true because I have used their service successfully many times but will never use it again if they don't resolve this issue. I am going to find out if this attorney is part of this scam or if her identity has been stolen. I don't think the person who filed my application is an attorney at all, but if she is, she needs to be disbarred.
I plan to file a complaint with the FTC and the MO Complaints Chief office.
They did provide the address for the attorney, but I am still waiting for Fiverr to respond. He told me there is no customer service phone number that I can call.
- Some freelancers are honest and do good work
- Even with due diligence

Verified ReviewerResolved: Company scammed my money, not vendor(s)
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Pissed Customer.
Com truly resolved the *** Fiverr was attempting to pull. I didn't get anywhere on my own trying to bring about resolution. As soon as PC got involved, Fiver quickly changed their tune and bent over backwards to adjust their actions and policies. The best site I've experienced in giving the power back to us customers!I've already got several friends and family using PC and they, too, see the power in this platform!Thank you so much!!!
After accepting my payments to two different vendors (offering podcast audio and/or logo services), Fiverr froze my account, prevented my communication with the vendors, and seized my money under the false pretense that I had somehow violated the terms of service (which were never once made readily available, nor was I required to indicate I had received access to/read said terms). Use Upwork.com if you want services.
They are not as shady as Fiverr.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund.
Its clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority, and there is no accountability for freelancers who fail to deliver.
This entire ordeal has been a frustrating waste of both time and money. I strongly advise potential users to consider other more reliable services where customer support and quality are taken seriously.
- There is absolutely no way to get any effective customer support

Verified ReviewerFIverr user jayamali234 is is acting inappropriate on reviews
What else is there to say about jayamali234, chaspendelton is the only one saying jayamali234 is one of the best beta readers and when he isnt strictly hiring MOSTLY females to beta read, his website is full of pictures of underage girls. Class act he is, dont listen to anything he says.
62 year old man with a south Asian crush(shes even flirting with him on his page). Its obvious he has a preference with sellers its not just about whos the best.
Chaspendelton also paid people to review his book on goodreads to appear like he has some authority on this matter, his book is the farthest thing from a best seller and stats are horrible, despite what he thinks he doesnt have any say so in anything, his stats and reviews are either a fabrication or extremely poor. Chaspendelton is simply a 62 year old, STRUGGLE writer.

Verified Reviewer |Resume consultant committed fraud on my resume and jeopardized my potential career with Veterans Affairs
First of all, I should've double checked my resume before sending it out to the veterans affairs for employment. But I didn't, because I caught it.
The first time and she said she would correct it, I asked her where she got that information. And why would she put Jamaica, veterans affairs, Boston, medical affairs? Audiologist, I mean, yeah, why would she do something like this? I mean, why, and why didn't she fix it?
I guess she knew me and I wouldn't double check because I trusted her but let me tell you. I sent it to where I was having a interview. And I had 4 copies made for each interviewer, and I had to call them saying, oh I didn't make this someone else did. I paid them and I did not proofrate it.
And here I am going for a medical group Codeine, position where integrity and compliance and data entry are flawless.
And here I am, didn't double Jack it, and I look stupid, and I may not get the job because of her. So don't ever use them
She put stuff on my resume that is not true like working for the Veterans Affairs in Jamaica and working in Auudiology at aanother Veterans Affairs in Boston. I have never lived in Boston or Jamaica.
None of the information on my history of employment and where i lived at the time is not on any of the resumes i have done are not on what she did for me. She used careers i never have had before. I want my money back where i paid her up fron for LinkedIn.
I told her i will pay her luttle by little until its paid.
She hasnt started that so i want my money back. I have proof of everything.

To make matters worse, they overcharged and didn't deliver what I asked for.

Verified Reviewer |Drivers license photo not accepted.
So far I haven't heard back from them.
I've tried 3 times to take photos of front and back of my drivers license so I can be verified. But the system says each time that it's failed.
Please let me know how this can be corrected. My old website (now taken down) was EditWizard4U.com. I took a job at Northwestern University's library instead of working online, but now would like to do editing and writing.
Is there another way to have my ID accepted?
My old email was heidi@***.com.
That no longer exists. I am now at these: hads31@***.com and hads31@***.com.
Thank you for any help in processing my drivers license so I can then upload my resume.
Best,
Heidi Walter

Verified ReviewerThis company's website is full of nothing but SCAMMERS!!!!
First off, there is no telephone number in the Fiverr website to contact customer service. Secondly, the number listed in Google is apparently not correct either according to the person that I spoke to at PissedConsumer.
I wanted to make a customer complaint against Mariam_Smith (@mariam_resume1) a "Recruiter" on the Fiverr website unscrupulous business practices.
I don't believe that they were who they said they are (scammer). Not only that, but I paid for 2 services (resume/cover letter and LinkedIn profile update) at $50 each for both services, but she kept trying to sell me more services that I didn't want. She was extremely pushy and would not give me enough time to review the horrible resume and cover letter she wrote. I logged into my LinkedIn page, and they are sending messages to other LinkedIn subscribers under my profile, who are also "Open to Work", trying to build their connections but making it appear like I am the recruiter.
I can only assume to scam them as well.
I have requested a refund for the LinkedIn profile update because I no longer trust them to do what I paid for, plus my resume and cover letter that was returned to me was full of errors.
My current resume and cover letter was better than what they prepared. Needless to say, I will NOT be using Fiverr services again nor will I recommend them.

Verified ReviewerResolved: Need to talk to someone asap/cancel gig order
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I was refunded my money back after several attempts.
I needed 5 drawings. I explained to Joven initially I needed 5 drawings of items for a PP. He quoted $280, which I thought was for the 5 drawings. After he completed, I then asked where the rest was. He explained to me that it was only 1 drawing with 5 drawing angles. I explained there’s no reason I would have ordered or paid that amount for 1 item drawing. I requested to cancel, but Joven stated that a portion of my money would be returned. I'm asking Fiverr, why? I don't want the service and have decided to pursue another creator. Please cancel the mentioned order, ASAP, because my time ends today.
I've spent hundreds of dollars with Fiverr over time. How do we move forward?
I do not want to be charged for a service ($295) for something I do not want or need.
Kindest regards,
Greg Newell

Update: Hours after posting this review, I finally received a response from Fiverr. They have refunded the amount paid to them only and indicated the freelancer “misused” the account and misrepresented her identity.
They have removed the freelancer from their platform. It has been difficult to find out details so I can take appropriate action to protect myself and my IP rights that have now been compromised. There is no phone number to speak with anyone at Fiverr even if you are concerned about fraud and your personal information when your intellectual property has been exposed. I am working with PayPal to see they can help with the loss of $350 for the USPTO filing fee the freelancer who was a “supposed” attorney asked me to pay to her.
Fiverr states they will not refund this amount because the freelancer coerced me to pay direct via PayPal and all payments should have remained within their platform. I was aware that payments to freelancers had to go through their site but this freelancer claimed the filing fee had to be paid to her so that she could then pay the fee to the USPTO office to submit the application. The freelancer did submit a trademark application but it was later rejected because the payment was disputed when rendered the filing void. So I still don’t know the extent of this scam and if the freelancer is as the attorney she claims to be or if this person is a victim or identity theft.
I have contacted the Missouri Chief Counsel to pursue an investigation into this attorney. Either way, I feel it is the responsibility of Fiverr to shut down accounts where people are claiming to be attorneys, because there is no shortage of these listings on their site. People seek out freelancers in areas they are unfamiliar so it’s easy to be misled. Unfortunately for me, I feel compromised by using a freelancer on their service that supposedly had numerous positive reviews.
As a person who has used Fiverr mutiple times with a good experience, I likely would not use this service again based on this experience. It’s seems way too risky if I can’t pick up the phone and address concerns about fraud and identity theft and not speak to anyone.
Have
